How will I know if I need Counselling?
Everyone has deeply sad and upsetting days. If your hardship is lasting longer and starting to affect your daily functioning then you may need to look for outside, professional help. Even getting up in the morning, showering and dressing, having normal conversations, going out with friends or showing up to work or college can be overwhelming.
If you are concerned about how you are behaving or feeling, and have tried to change but haven't been able to on your own, it is time to consult our professional staff.
Signs that you could use some help:
- Choosing drugs or alcohol to deaden pain
- Alcoholism or drug addiction
- Life spiraling out of control
- Relationships breaking down
- Finances dwindling
- Job loss
- Problems with low energy and ill health
